Half-yearly (Jan - May) optimisations to your Osome experience

May 2026
Experience

Over the past six months, we shipped a set of quiet platform optimisations across accounting, invoicing, support, and day-to-day navigation. They weren’t big enough individually for a full release — but together they make Osome faster, clearer, and easier to run.

What’s improved

Faster accounts review

Period-end review is now more automated and consistent, so your month-end and year-end close feels less “manual chase” and more like a guided checklist.

What changed

  1. More checks run automatically during review, so common issues are surfaced without needing a human to manually spot patterns.
  2. AI-assisted analysis highlights what looks unusual (for example, inconsistencies or missing context) earlier in the process.
  3. Reviews follow a more consistent flow across cases, reducing variability in what gets caught and when.

Why it matters

  • You get faster clarity on what needs fixing, so you can respond and close the period with fewer surprises.
  • Less back-and-forth on “what’s pending”, which reduces delays when time is tight.

Send invoices by email from Osome

Invoice sending is now part of the Osome workflow, so you can go from drafting to delivering without exporting files or switching tools.

What changed

  • You can send invoices directly from Osome via email.
  • You can send to multiple recipients (useful when your customer has a shared finance inbox plus a decision-maker).
  • The sending step is closer to the invoice itself, so the workflow is simpler end-to-end.

Why it matters

  • You save time (and avoid errors) by removing manual download + attach steps.
  • You can get invoices in front of the right people faster, improving collection speed.

Create a quotation PDF from a draft invoice

You can now share pricing as a formal quotation before you issue the final invoice — using the same line items you’ll invoice later.

What changed

  • Draft invoices can be turned into a quotation PDF that you can download and share.
  • Your quote stays aligned with the invoice details, because it’s generated from the same source.

Why it matters

  • You can get approval faster when your customer needs something official before committing.
  • You reduce rework and mismatches between “what was quoted” and “what was invoiced”.

Fix invoices with credit notes

Credit notes help you correct invoices properly when something changes — without breaking your audit trail.

What changed

  • You can cancel or adjust an issued invoice using a credit note, instead of relying on ad-hoc workarounds.
  • Corrections are represented cleanly, so it’s clear what changed and why.

Why it matters

  • You keep records accurate for bookkeeping and compliance, even when edits are needed after issuance.
  • Refunds, reductions, and invoice corrections become easier to explain and reconcile.

Maria Bot improvements

Maria Bot interactions are now clearer, and handovers are more reliable when your request needs a human.

What changed

  • Common interactions are easier to understand, reducing “looping” or ambiguous responses.
  • Handover flows are more consistent, so context is less likely to get lost during escalation.
  • Routing and response behavior has been refined to reduce unnecessary friction.

Why it matters

  • You get faster answers for simple questions.
  • When support is needed, you spend less time repeating yourself and more time getting to resolution.

Clearer transaction filters

Your Transactions experience is easier to scan and act on, so you can focus on what’s blocking progress right now.

What changed

  • Filters are more explicit (for example, documents needed vs reply needed), making “next action” clearer.
  • The experience is oriented around what requires attention, not just a long list of transactions.

Why it matters

  • You waste less time guessing what to do next.
  • You can unblock bookkeeping faster by uploading the right document or replying in the right place.

Mailbox alerts on your home screen

It’s easier to spot when physical mail needs attention — without needing to constantly check or wait for a manual reminder.

What changed

  • Mailbox attention indicators are surfaced more prominently so you can see pending items sooner.
  • The overall experience reduces reliance on “ticket-style” chasing and makes mail management more self-serve.

Why it matters

  • You’re less likely to miss time-sensitive letters or compliance mail.
  • You spend less time coordinating with support just to understand what arrived and what to do next.

Chinese language replies in the chat bot

The bot can detect conversation language and respond accordingly, improving the experience for multilingual teams.

What changed

  • Conversation-level language detection enables responses in the detected language (including Chinese).
  • The bot experience feels more natural when you’re not working in English.

Why it matters

  • Less friction communicating in your preferred language.
  • Faster understanding and smoother resolution, especially for quick questions.

Summary

Taken together, these optimisations make Osome feel faster and more predictable in the moments that matter: closing your books, sending and correcting invoices, and unblocking day-to-day bookkeeping. You spend less time switching tools, chasing missing context, or wondering what needs attention next — and more time acting on clear next steps.

Support also becomes smoother, with clearer bot interactions and more reliable handovers when you need a human. In short, this half-yearly lowdown is about reducing friction everywhere: quicker financial workflows, cleaner operational visibility, and a more usable experience for multilingual teams.
