How Does Osome Handle KYC (Know Your Customer) Checks?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the process of verifying the identity of individuals and corporate clients to ensure compliance with Hong Kong regulations and prevent fraud. At Osome, we provide a fast, secure, and fully compliant KYC service for companies and their shareholders.

Documentation Required
Clients must provide the following:
- An identification card or passport
- Proof of residential address
- For companies or corporate shareholders: Corporate documents including the Certificate of Incumbency, Shareholder and Director Registers, Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, and full KYC for all Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and controllers.
Important Notes
All corporate documents must be issued within the past year by a recognised regulatory authority. Self-issued documents—for example, those generated by a corporate secretarial provider—must be formally notarised and dated within the past year to verify the accuracy of the information.
