Download or delete many files at once

October 2026
Experience

You can now select many files on the Files page and download or delete them in one go. A new Needs your input filter shows the files waiting on you, and Uploaded by narrows the list to whoever added each file.

Manage your files in bulk, not one by one

Until now, getting documents out of Osome meant opening files one at a time, and clearing out old uploads worked the same way. With hundreds of invoices and receipts, that adds up fast.

So we added bulk actions to the Files page. Tick the files you want, then download or delete them together. We also reworked the filters, so the files that need you are easy to find.

Why this matters

  • Less clicking: Download a whole month of receipts in one go, instead of file by file.
  • Nothing slips through: See at a glance which documents are waiting for you to review, sign or add details to.
  • Easier to find: Show only the files uploaded by a particular person or source.

How it works

1. Select the files you need

Go to Files and tick the checkbox next to each file. To pick everything that matches your current search and filters, use the checkbox at the top of the list. That includes files further down that haven't loaded on screen yet. A bar at the bottom shows how many files you've selected.

You can select up to 5,000 files at a time. Changing your search, a filter or the company clears your selection.

2. Download them in one go

Select Download in the bar. A single file opens in a new tab. Several files are packed into ZIP archives of up to 200 files each, and each archive downloads as soon as it's ready. One message keeps you updated, for example "Downloading 2 of 3 archives".

If a few files can't be included, you'll see how many came through and can select Retry the rest. We only fetch the files that are missing.

3. Delete files you no longer need

Select Delete in the bar and confirm. The confirmation tells you how many of the selected files you're able to delete. Deleted files disappear from the list straight away. If any can't be deleted, they come back to the list and you can select Retry the rest.

Deleting is permanent, so check your selection before you confirm. You can't delete files while a download is being prepared.

4. See the files that need your input

The new Needs your input filter sits at the front of the filter row and shows how many files are waiting on you, such as documents to Review & Sign or Provide details for. Turn it on to see only those files. It stays on when you refresh the page or share the link, and it's hidden when nothing is waiting.

5. Filter by who uploaded a file

Uploaded by replaces the old From filter. Pick one or more uploaders to see only the files they added.

Also new

  • In each file's ⋯ menu, Delete is now greyed out if you don't have permission to delete that file. Deleting a single file otherwise works exactly as before.

Note: We're rolling these updates out gradually, so they may take a little while to appear in your account. You can select up to 5,000 files at a time, and deleted files can't be restored.
