Can I Add Shareholders After Incorporation?
- Published: 7 April 2026
Yes, you can add new shareholders to your company at any time after incorporation.
This can be done in two main ways. Existing shareholders may transfer or sell shares to a new individual, or the company may issue new shares by increasing its share capital through a process known as a share allotment.
If share ownership changes, the company records must be updated and the relevant information may need to be filed with Companies House.
Osome can assist with preparing and submitting the necessary filings to update your company’s shareholding structure.
