What Is Companies House Identity Verification and Can Osome Help With It?

Companies House has introduced a new identity verification requirement as part of reforms to UK company law starting 18 November 2025. It is mandatory for certain individuals, including company directors and people with significant control.

Individuals can verify their identity in one of two ways:

• Directly with Companies House using the GOV.UK One Login system.
• Through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP).

You can complete the process directly through the Companies House online service. Alternatively, if you experience difficulties verifying your identity yourself, Osome may assist by submitting verification confirmation to Companies House on your behalf.
