What Is a Business Registration Certificate and Why Is It Required?

The Business Registration Certificate (BRC) validates a company’s registration for trade in Hong Kong and must be displayed at business premises. BRC is issued by the Business Registration Office of Hong Kong.
It contains:
- Business name and type.
- Nature of business.
- Business address.
- Date of commencement and expiry of registration.
- Certificate number
Changes to business information must be reported within one month to the Business Registration Office.
