Built from a Mission, Shaped by Experience
OneCFO began from a place of lived experience. Growing up in a family that ran a small neighbourhood shop, founder Jay Olos saw how messy records and limited financial guidance could overwhelm a business. Years later, he and his brother transformed that experience into a mission: helping SMEs put solid financial systems in place - something most small family-run businesses rarely have support for.
“OneCFO is a fractional CFO services company and a CFO tech platform,” Jay explains. “We provide tech-enabled CFO services, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and payroll. We’re in the Philippines, but our goal is to serve the whole Asia-Pacific region.” Initially bootstrapped from his own savings — later joined by a few angel investors — OneCFO has grown into a company ready for expansion, including a new office in Singapore and future plans across APAC.

Jay encountered Osome years earlier as a shareholder in another startup and remembered the experience. “When I had to incorporate my own company in Singapore, I didn’t look elsewhere,” he says. “The experience was excellent then, and even better now.”
Why OneCFO Chose Osome for Incorporation
Setting up in another country can be complex, but Osome made the process straightforward for OneCFO. Jay relied on Osome not only for incorporation, but also for nominee director services, corporate secretarial support, accounting, taxation, and compliance filings.
With Osome, I always get answers within minutes through the chat.

He adds that the responsiveness was consistent — day after day, across borders and time zones.

Making Compliance Effortless
With Osome handling the compliance and operational foundations, Jay could focus fully on building the company, scaling the platform, and supporting clients.
“Osome helped me figure everything out. Three years later, we’ve grown a lot, and Osome has played a big part in that.” The peace of mind, he says, comes from knowing that back-end responsibilities — filings, reminders, documents, deadlines — are managed reliably and proactively.
Expanding Across APAC with Purpose
OneCFO is expanding rapidly, driven by rising demand for financial clarity among startups and SMEs across Asia-Pacific. “We’re opening in Singapore and looking at other APAC countries too,” Jay says. “Technology is available now in a way it wasn’t decades ago. We want to build tools that prevent other business owners from facing what my family faced.” The regional push is both a business strategy and a personal mission.

The Future of OneCFO
As the team grows, OneCFO is focused on strengthening its platform, expanding services, and continuing to serve founders who need real financial structure.
Jay’s advice to entrepreneurs comes from years of experience scaling companies:
“Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. Look long-term. Define your North Star and let it guide you. Bootstrap when you can and raise money only when you truly need it.”
