Can a Dependant Pass Holder Be the Sole Director of a Company or Hold Multiple LOCs?
- Modified: 12 November 2025
A DP holder cannot be a sole director until their DP LOC is approved. Holding multiple LOCs is not permitted. Osome helps appoint Nominee Directors (at a fee) during the point of incorporation. Once LOC is issued, the local director can step down and the DP holder may become sole director. DP holders may only hold only one LOC at a time.
Sole Director Rule
Not allowed until LOC approval. A local or Nominee Director must be appointed first. Osome does provide Nominee Director services (at a fee) while the LOC is pending.
Holding Multiple LOCs
Not permitted. DP holders may only have one LOC linked to one company. MOM restricts LOCs to one company per holder.
How Can Osome Assist?
Osome appoints Nominee Directors and guides DP holders through the LOC approval process. We manage paperwork and compliance so DP holders can assume directorship once approved.
