What Are the Requirements for Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) Holders in Singapore?
- Modified: 12 November 2025
LTVP allows extended stays for various family and special categories. Eligibility, issuing authority and rules differ by pass type. Osome advises on Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) issued LTVPs.
MOM-issued LTVP is for family members of foreign employees not eligible for DP and has an approximate 8 weeks processing time. ICA-issued LTVP is handled directly with ICA and not by Osome.
Types of LTVP
LTVP issued by ICA and LTVP issued by MOM.
- ICA LTVP is generally reserved for immediate family members (spouse, children, parent) of a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Residents.
- MOM LTVP covers family of foreign employees.
Eligibility
Spouse, unmarried child of Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident, common-law spouse, parents of Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents (income rules apply), and other special categories. Eligibility varies by issuing authority.
Application Timeline
Getting an MOM-issued LTVP usually takes around 8 weeks to process, while an ICA-issued LTVP generally takes about 6 weeks. Whether you can work depends on your PLOC or LOC status.
