Can Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) Holders Start a Business in Singapore with Osome’s Help?
- Modified: 12 November 2025
It depends on the LTVP type and consent. MOM-issued LTVP holders cannot be directors or shareholders without switching to an EP. ICA-issued LTVP holders with LOC or PLOC may be directors or shareholders subject to limits. Osome can assist with incorporation and LOC where eligible.
Some LTVP types allow directorship with e-notifications and consent.
LTVP Issued by Ministry of Manpower
Cannot be listed as director or shareholder. To start a business, obtain an EP. MOM rules prevent business ownership without the correct pass.
LTVP Issued by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority with LOC/PLOC
May become directors or shareholders after obtaining LOC or PLOC, subject to restrictions. Directorship may require e-notifications to MOM.
Restrictions
PLOC/LOC holders cannot be sole director in some cases and may need e-notifications for multiple directorships.
Osome Services
We can incorporate a company and apply for LOC where the LTVP holder is eligible. Osome manages corporate and LOC submissions to comply with MOM rules.
