Connect Osome to your AI assistant

April 2026
Intelligence

You can now link your Osome data directly to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Use our new MCP server to ask plain-English questions about your transactions, shareholders, and financial reports—no more manual exports or searching through the app.

Your business data, now AI-powered

We’ve launched an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that acts as a secure bridge between Osome and your favourite AI tools. This allows you to treat your AI assistant as a financial expert who has real-time access to your company records.

Why this is a game-changer

  • Instant Insights: Ask "What is my cash runway?" or "Who is my highest-paying client?" and get an answer in seconds.
  • Data Mashups: Marry your Osome data with other tools. For example, ask Claude to compare your Osome transactions against a Google Sheet of your marketing spend.
  • Zero Manual Entry: Stop downloading PDFs just to copy-paste numbers into a chat window. The AI reads the data directly from the source.

Setup Guide

The setup takes less than two minutes and uses secure, private authentication.

1 Claude Desktop (macOS / Windows)

  1. Open Claude Desktop.
  2. Go to Settings > Developer > Edit Config.
  3. Add the Osome server to the file:
{
“mcpServers”
     {
      “OSOME”:
         {
           “url:https…”
         }
     }
}

4. Save and restart Claude. A browser window will open for you to log in and approve the connection.

2 ChatGPT (OpenAI)

  1. Open ChatGPT (requires Plus, Team, or Enterprise).
  2. Go to Settings > Connected apps > Add MCP server.
  3. Enter the server URL: https://mcp.osome.com/mcp
  4. Click Connect and log in via the browser window that appears.

3 Gemini (Google AI Studio)

  1. Open Google AI Studio.
  2. In a new chat, click Tools in the left panel.
  3. Select Add MCP Server.
  4. Enter the URL: https://mcp.osome.com/mcp and log in to approve.

How to use it

Once connected, you don't need to do anything special. Just ask questions in plain English. Your AI assistant will automatically translate your request into the right data call.

Try these queries:

  • "Show me all transactions from last month that exceeded $ 1,000."
  • "Who are the current directors and shareholders of my company?"
  • "What is the current balance of my DBS bank account?"
  • "Generate a profit and loss summary for Q1 2024."
  • "Find the document with ID abc-123."

Use tools other than Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT?

Cursor

Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P), select MCP: Add Server, and add:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "OSOME": {
      "url": "<https://mcp.osome.com/mcp>"
    }
  }
}

Restart Cursor. On first use, you'll be prompted to log in.

VS Code (Copilot)

Create or edit .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace:

{
  "servers": {
    "OSOME": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "<https://mcp.osome.com/mcp>"
    }
  }
}

Restart VS Code. The OAuth flow will trigger on first use.

Windsurf

Go to Settings > MCP > Add Server and enter: <https://mcp.osome.com/mcp>

Security and Privacy

We take your data security seriously. The connection uses OAuth 2.1, the industry standard for secure authentication.

  • You are in control: Osome does not store your queries. The AI tool only accesses data on demand.
  • Scoped access: The AI can only see information that your specific Osome account has permission to view.
  • Revocable: You can disconnect the server and revoke access at any time from your AI tool's settings.
Tip

Log in to my.osome.com and connect Osome to your AI tool via MCP to start querying your transactions and reports.
